Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross – 165th Foundation
Today, September 14, we Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood joyfully celebrate the 165th anniversary of our Foundation.
On this special feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, we thank God for the grace and blessings that have accompanied our Congregation throughout these 165 years. From the humble beginnings of Venerable Mother Catherine Aurelia and her companions, our Institute has continued to live its mission of adoration, reparation, suffering, prayer, and love for the Precious Blood of Jesus.
During today’s Eucharistic celebration, all the Sisters of our Institute gathered in spirit and renewed our Religious Vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience. This renewal was a beautiful reminder of our first “yes” to Jesus and of our desire to remain faithful to Him and to the mission entrusted to our Congregation.
As we look to the future, we place our lives and our Institute once again into the loving hands of Jesus. May the Precious Blood continue to be our source of strength, unity, and hope, and may we faithfully carry forward the charism entrusted to us for the Church and the world.
Here at our Hamilton Monastery, we gathered in the afternoon for a special time together. It was a joyful opportunity to be together, share our gratitude, and celebrate the gift of our vocation and the 165 years of God’s faithfulness to our Institute.
