Sisters Lucia and Kim – First Religious Profession
Saturday, October 20 was the day chosen for the First Profession of our Novices: Sr. Lucia Tran and Sr. Kim Nguyen. As the morning broke the sky was somewhat overcast and there were even a few drops of rain, but as the day progresses the sun came out and by 1:00 p.p. it was shining brightly.
Our Bishop Ronald P. Fabbro presided at the ceremony and received the Vows of the two Sisters. Our small chapel was filled to overflowing as relatives and friends joined us for this happy occasion.
Each of the two Sisters in turn knelt before the Bishop and vowed her life to God as a Precious Blood Sister. They each received the symbols of their Consecration namely: the red scapular, black veil and the silver cross. By this Profession of Vows each Sister commits herself to follow Jesus in the contemplative way of life within community which is a response to a divine call and a deepening of her baptismal commitment.
Please thank God with us for bringing these women to our Community and be assured that together with all our Sisters will carry you and your concerns in their hearts and their prayers.
